Colombian Volunteer Ladies, Inc. (Damas Voluntarias Colombianas, Inc.) fue fundada en Washington in 1968. Más adelante se fundaron capítulos en Puerto Rico, Atlanta, New Orleans, Londres, Miami y Tampa. El capitulo de Miami fue fundado en 1971. Después de que los capítulos de Washington, Atlanta, New Orleans, y Bogotá cerraron, los restantes siguieron funcionando como organizaciones independientes. En el 2002 Colombian Volunteer Ladies, Miami abrió un capítulo en Weston-Broward.

Colombian Volunteer Ladies, is a non –profit, tax-exempt charitable organization founded in Washington, Bogota, Miami, Tampa, New Orleans, Puerto Rico and London. The Miami Chapter was founded in 1971, and in 2002 Colombian Volunteer Ladies, Inc, opened a Chapter in Weston (Broward). After the dissolution of the leading Chapters, Washington and Bogota, the remaining chapters kept functioning as independent organizations.

The organization is managed and staffed by volunteers. Its goals and objectives are to help charitable institutions and foundations in Colombia in need of help, specifically institutions dedicated to the care of children, the elderly, and the disabled. We also send financial aid in case of natural disasters.

Colombian Volunteer Ladies, Miami-Weston is registered with the state of Florida #731049, Certificate of Exemption #85-8012698757C-8 (expiration 2020), non-profit organization 501(c) (3), IRS #EIN 51-0154982; and registered with the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services #CH 7099.
